Who We Are

Hoi Huat Group is a modern marine aquafarming company with over 37 years of experience, specializing in marine prawns, sea bass, and primarily milk fish.

The Group comprises four sister companies: Hoi Huat Aquaculture Sdn Bhd, Hoi Huat Industries Sdn Bhd, Usaha Fadzilat (M) Sdn Bhd, Usaha Fadzilat Industries Sdn Bhd and Hoi Huat Transport Sdn Bhd . We are known for producing tiger prawns, Pacific white shrimps, and are the only aquaculturist in the country to successfully cultivate milk fish on a large scale.
Our national headquarters is located in Kawasan Perusahaan LPK 3, Sungai Petani, Kedah. With modern facilities and infrastructure, we provide the freshest produce from our ponds across hundreds of acres in the Kuala Muda District.

Our Aquafarming Practice

Hoi Huat uses purpose-built earthen ponds on coastal lands with brackish waters, ideal for intensive aquaculture. Sustainable, clean coastal resources support successful prawn, shrimp, and fish farming. We ensure pond health through scheduled maintenance: equipment replacement, weekly cleaning, antibiotic residue monitoring, and periodic treatments to remove foul odors, fouling organisms, and prevent disease. MD-HPE lining is applied to improve water flow and prevent soil erosion.

 Accreditation & Certification

At Hoi Huat, we take corporate responsibility seriously, promoting environmental awareness in aquaculture. By adhering to Malaysian laws and quality standards, we maintain high standards and minimize negative impacts.
Our stringent quality control ensures we pass annual inspections and are certified by the Department of Fisheries Malaysia under the Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry, meeting European Union requirements under Regulation 5(1) of the Fisheries (Quality Control of Fish for Export to the European Union) Regulations 2009. Additionally, we are certified under MyGAP for complying with Malaysian standards for Good Aquaculture Practice for “Marine Fish in Pond” and “Marine Shrimp Culture in Brackishwater Pond.”

Hoi Huat Group Today

Hoi Huat Group has approximately 200 acres of aquafarming land with over 31 active ponds. Our intensive research on milkfish (Chanos chanos), with fry imported from Taiwan, has led to successful mass cultivation and commercial marketing in Malaysia, producing 2000 to 2500 tons annually.
As the country’s pioneer in milkfish aquaculture, we aim to introduce this nutritious, protein-rich fish to the local market. Although milkfish has been popular in Indonesia, the Philippines, and Taiwan for 300 years, it’s new to Malaysia.
With our new factory equipped with advanced processing machines, we are also moving into value-added processing. We plan to produce canned or bottled milkfish, fish balls, floss, quick-frozen whole milkfish, or prime cuts for export to China and the Middle East, where demand is high.
