🏓 Empowering Blind Athletes: RCSA Donates Equipment to Support SHOWDOWN

In recent years, the blind and visually impaired community has broken new ground in the world of sports, participating actively in disciplines such as athletics, swimming, judo, goalball, football, powerlifting, shooting (with adaptive technology), tandem cycling, chess, and tenpin bowling. Both locally and internationally, these athletes continue to inspire with their determination and skill.

Now, a fast-paced and exciting sport called SHOWDOWN is making its mark among blind athletes. Already popular in the USA, Europe, China, South Korea, and Japan, SHOWDOWN is gaining momentum in Malaysia as the latest addition to blind sports.

🤝 Rotary Club of Shah Alam (RCSA) Supports Inclusion Through Sports

In line with its mission to uplift communities and support inclusivity, the Rotary Club of Shah Alam (RCSA) proudly extended a helping hand to the Malaysian Blind Sports Association (MBSA) on 14th April by donating 10 sets of specialized gloves and masks for use in SHOWDOWN training and matches.

This contribution supports MBSA’s commitment to:

  • Rehabilitating the blind through the power of sports
  • Promoting equal opportunities for the blind and visually impaired
  • Raising public awareness of their talents and potential

💬 A Word of Gratitude

We extend our deepest appreciation to MBSA for their unwavering dedication in creating meaningful platforms for the blind. Their efforts continue to open doors, break barriers, and prove that ability transcends disability.
